Doctors of Chiropractic diagnose, treat and help prevent conditions and disorders related to the back, neck, pelvis, extremity joints and the effect they have on the nervous system. The main form of treatment chiropractors deliver is called an adjustment – a non-invasive procedure consisting of a precise directed movement to help relieve pain and discomfort, and restore range of motion. Sometimes chiropractors will also use other therapies such as Activator, Decompression, Active Release Technique, Logan Basic and Graston Technique. A chiropractor does not prescribe drugs or perform surgery, but may make a referral to medical specialists for such treatment when appropriate. In addition to adjustments, chiropractors also counsel patients regarding nutrition, lifestyle and exercise.

Why did I become an RMT? I chose to become an RMT because I knew I wanted to be able to improve peoples daily lives in a pain free manner. I became an RMT with the goal of being able to teach people how important and beneficial it can be to take care of your body. As well as promoting the importance of taking time for yourself to relax the nervous system and achieve the lasting benefits of massage therapy.

What is my specialty as an RMT? My main goal is to cater my treatments to be personalized to whatever complaints you may have. I focus on TMJ techniques, as well as working with specific techniques for the feet.

What are my hobbies outside of work? Outside of work I like to stay as active as possible. In the winter I am an avid skier, as well as skating. In the summer I like to spend as much time outside as possible, whether that is in the mountains, roller blading around the city, surfing at the lake, and swimming. For downtime I like to read and crochet.

What is my biggest dream? My biggest dream is to travel the world and experience all of the different cultures. More specific I would like to receive a massage in each country to learn about the different techniques and modalities that different cultures use.

Who is my ideal patient? My ideal patient is someone who provides honest feedback and is open to active communication to set up a solid foundation for the treatment.
